Arcadia Teams Fall in Playoffs

After stellar seasons, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, volleyball, and cross country fell in NCAA and Conference playoff action the weekend of Nov. 11 and 12.

Women’s soccer scored their first NCAA tournament victory on Nov. 11 over Franklin, then lost a heartbreaking 1-0 overtime match to top-seeded Carnegie-Mellon on Nov. 12.

After defeating Neumann University 3-1 in the first round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) playoffs, men’s soccer fell, 2-0, to Rutgers-Camden on Nov. 12.

Women’s volleyball competed in its third ECAC Championship Tournament as the top-seed competitor. The Knights fell to Marymount University, 3-2, on Nov. 11.

In the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on Nov. 11, women’s cross country placed 44th out of 49 teams, while men’s cross country placed 40th out of 51 teams.
