On Nov. 30, Adjunct Professor of Art and Design Krista Profitt ’11 discussed her artistic trajectory in “Watching You, Judging You,” a lecture that capped off her Alumni Spotlight exhibition, “Krista Profitt: Savers, Shavers, Mansplainers.”

Profitt earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting at Arcadia in 2011 and an MFA in Painting at Illinois State University in 2015. Her presentation detailed her artistic education and developments, which prompted her to co-found Spillway Collective, a cooperative art space in the Crane Arts Center in Philadelphia.

“Krista Profitt: Savers, Shavers, Mansplainers” ran from Oct. 6 through Dec. 3 and was curated by Arcadia’s Exhibitions Coordinator Matthew Borgen. A closing reception was held in the Rosedale and Harrison Galleries following Profitt’s lecture.
