Stephen Clark ’99 is preparing to release his second novel, Hands Up, with Wido Publishing. In Hands Up, Clark explores the story of three protagonists who witness a police shooting. Clark describes this book as a “socially conscious thriller” that draws upon themes of racial tension and mutual understanding.
Clark elaborated in a recent interview that the novel’s purpose is to expand the minds of readers, in hopes that his audience will reflect on what unites humanity amidst social chaos.
"I believe in the power of fiction to expand the smallest minds, unite the most divided among us and reveal deeper truths about humanity,” said Clark. “That singular belief inspired me to write my current novel."
