“Music, Art, and Memory,” an Honors class at Arcadia, is collecting gently used CD players and headphones for residents at Edgehill Nursing Home. This semester, the students were paired with nursing home residents for weekly visits, in which students encouraged their partners to express themselves through art and explore new genres of music.
At the end of this semester, students will create personalized CDs to give to their partners. Donated CD players and headphones will also be distributed to residents for listening purposes.
To donate or to learn more about the project, contact Ellen Murphey, adjunct professor of English, at 215-620-6354.
