Interim Chief Information Officer Leslie Margolis, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics Dr. Vitaly Ford, Director of Infrastructure John Zottola, and Senior Network Engineer Matt Flint attended the 2019 KINBERCON Conference on April 2-3 in Philadelphia, Pa.
In fall 2018, Margolis and Dr. Ford were awarded a $352,000 National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to provide a high-speed networking infrastructure for educational applications at Arcadia. At the conference, Margolis and Dr. Ford presented updates about projects funded by the NSF, sharing how they approached campus cyberinfrastructure enhancements to support research and education.
The University’s plan was reviewed as a case study by national experts, and the Arcadia representatives established connections for the first of two high-speed network providers.
Each year, KINBERCON brings together leaders in education, health care, economic development, libraries, public media, government, and technology to share ideas and success stories about next-generation networks and technology.
