Dr. Thomas Brinker, professor of Accounting and executive director of the MBA program, published “Financing opportunities for medical expenses incurred by children with special needs” in The Tax Adviser on June 13.
The article provides insight on tax benefits for families with children who have special needs, including autism or developmental disorders. Dr. Brinker offers an overview of possible medical expense deductions and explains whether home equity loans are a viable option for covering medical care.
