University representatives from University Relations, Conference and Event Services, Student Affairs, Facilities, Athletics, and Metz Dining Services participated in a panel discussion, ‘Maximizing Year-Round Campus Usage,’ on Nov. 14 in Radnor, Pa., which was sponsored by Philadelphia Area Independent School Business Officers Association (PAISBOA) with the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB).

“This panel discussion helped Arcadia move the campus toward a 12-month usage model,” said Laura Baldwin, Vice President for Marketing and Communications. “Building relationships and partnerships with organizations like PAISBOA and VFTCB through SECHE helps to expand awareness Arcadia throughout the region.” This initiative will lead to space and event rental income, increase the University’s visibility through targeted marketing channels, and build stronger relationships between Arcadia students and the surrounding community.

Arcadia’s attendance at the panel discussion demonstrated a high level of commitment across the institution, which, as the panel discussed, was necessary for the success of a 12-month campus program. While two dozen schools participated in the discussion, Senior Director of University Relations Lisa Stephens noted that Arcadia’s representative group crossed all departments that would collaborate for year-round campus usage.

VFTCB provides services for Montgomery County’s visitors, residents, meeting planners, and the business community. The organization offers support services such as marketing tools and platforms for businesses and organizations that are members of the board.
