At Honors Convocation, Students and Faculty Honored for Academic Excellence

At the 2016 Honors Convocation ceremony on March 19, more than 850 students were named to the Dean’s Honors and Distinguished Honors Lists for the spring 2015 semester, while more than 900 were named to the fall 2015 lists. Additionally, 55 students were inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Epsilon Lambda, while 65 special and departmental awards were presented to 64 students.

Student speaker Dr. Rosalba E. Sacca ’16, who is a candidate in the Master’s in Genetic Counseling program, encouraged students to be lifelong learners in their fields.

Dr. Joshua E. Blustein, associate professor of Psychology, received the Provost Award for Outstanding Advising and Mentoring. Frankie D. Mallis, adjunct professor of English, received the Adjunct Professor Award. Dr. Michael T. Morrow, assistant professor of Psychology, received the Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching.
