Fill Your Bowl, Fight Hunger at Arcadia University’s Annual Benefit Dinner

By Christopher Sarachilli | October 27, 2015

Arcadia is hosting its 22nd annual Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner on Monday, Nov. 16, in Grey Towers Castle. There will be two dinner sessions: 4:30 to 6 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Dinner allows community members to come together to combat hunger and homelessness in U.S. cities and around the world. Attendees select from hand-crafted, ceramic bowls and enjoy soups and desserts from local restaurants and bakeries. The bowls, which attendees keep, serve as a reminder that, somewhere in the world, someone is without a meal or shelter.

All proceeds benefit The Hunger Project and Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network. Last year, the Dinner raised more than $13,000; more than $125,000 has been raised in its 21 years.

Tickets for students and children are $12; general public tickets are $15. To purchase tickets, visit: www.arcadia.edu/CCEC.
