What started as an assignment in Digital Imaging has turned into a portfolio building opportunity for Perri Schlosser ’22. After Schlosser completed the assignment, Adjunct Professor Christian (Patch) Patchell decided the Graphic Design major and Mayfair native had a lot of great material that should be shared with the Arcadia community. After a few months of work, the two were ready to launch Knight Owl Comics in March.

As editor, Schlosser is responsible for almost every aspect of the project: sorting through submissions, deciding layouts, reformatting, running Instagram, promoting the works, and branding.

“I love reading everyone’s comics and have a great time promoting them,” they said.“It’s been busy, but very rewarding and I am honored to be a part of sharing everyone’s incredible artwork. I honestly can’t thank Patch enough for the opportunity.”

Students and alumni can submit comics at knightowlcomics@gmail.com. Knight Owl Comics is looking for an assistant editor to help Schlosser run the project for the future.

Read the comics posted on Webtoons and follow the project on Instagram.
