Arcadia University Scores High Marks in U.S. News Rankings

Arcadia University earned high marks in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 edition of Best Colleges, placing among the top universities in the North and earning high marks for study abroad programs.

In the Regional Universities in the North category, Arcadia ranks 41 out of 135 universities, or in the top third of ranked schools. Rankings in this category are based on graduation and retention rates; peer assessment; faculty resources; student selectivity; financial resources; graduation rate performance; and alumni giving.

In the Programs to Look For category, Arcadia continues to be a peer-recognized leader in study abroad. Arcadia is one of only 30 institutions nationwide listed in this category, and one of only two in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Arcadia boasts more than 150 study abroad programs in 15 countries, and has more than 65 years of experience in study abroad. The University has been ranked #1 for study abroad participation by the Institute of International Education’s Open Doors Report for five of the past six years.

Arcadia also continues to be recognized as a university who welcomes and challenges students with a desire to achieve, ranking in the A+ Schools for B Students category. This ranking reflects the University’s commitment as one of the best places for high school students who are willing to study and work hard. The regional university ranking and the freshman retention rate both play a key role in this category, along with SAT scores and class ranking.
