About Me

A professional writer for over 25 years, Professor Haertsch has taught graduate and undergraduate writing, communications, and literature classes at Arcadia University since 2000. She teaches classes in magazine writing, business writing, and writing for children and young adults. She has taught general children’s literature courses, including a course in classic Scottish children’s literature that culminated with a week in Scotland. Professor Haertsch also teaches the English Major Internship course and mentors graduate students in middle grade and young adult novel writing and research.
