About Me

Helen Marie Miamidian has taught at Arcadia since 2011.  Professor Miamidian graduated from Villanova University in 2002 with a BA in Sociology. After Villanova, she moved to Temple University where she completed both her MA and PhD in Sociology. Her research interest focuses upon the sociology of education, urban life, and race and ethnic relations. At Arcadia, she has taught courses on Writing for the Social Sciences, Contemporary Social Problems, and Introductory Sociology, among others.
