About Me

Johanna Kane, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, NCC is a board certified art therapist, a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Shippensburg University with a major in Psychology and minor in Art.  She obtained a Masters Degree in Creative Arts in Therapy- Art Therapy, from Drexel University in 1999.  She has worked extensively with various patient populations in a multitude of treatment settings.  She has maintained a private practice for 14 years, where she specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, mood disorders and survivors of trauma. 

She is the internship coordinator at Arcadia University for the art therapy concentration undergraduate program and has been an adjunct professor since 2003, teaching and supervising students interested in becoming art therapists. 

Johanna has also had various speaking engagements and presentations across the region.  She is an active advocate for art therapy and eating disorder education & awareness.
