Larissa Gordon, M.S.L.I.S., M.Ed., information literacy coordinator and faculty librarian, has been selected to participate in the Association of College and Research Libraries’ third year of a national assessment program. Assessment in Action: Academic Libraries and Student Success will aid Gordon’s project, which will investigate how narratives affect a student’s ability to become a more effective researcher.

Gordon has found that students struggle to articulate how they conduct research or that they don’t fully understand the reasons why they made certain choices in the process. Gordon will test a solution to these issues while improving the relationship between Arcadia’s Library and the First Year Writing Program.
