Laura Baldwin, M.B.A., is Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Arcadia University. She leads the University Relations (UR) team and is responsible for communications, branding, web services, public relations, conference services, and marketing strategies of Arcadia. Baldwin has served on committees and task forces including co-chair, Marketing Division; member, Arcadia 360 Committee of the Board of Trustees; member, Campus Climate Task Force; member, Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (JEDI); and ex-officio member, University Strategic Planning Committee.
Under Baldwin's leadership, UR has produced award-winning work, including a CASE Circle of Excellence Award for "Bits and Pieces," a public art project that resulted in the creation of a mural in Glenside (which Cheltenham Township recognized with a proclamation presented to Baldwin); gold and silver College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals (CUPRAP) awards for the 360 degree Google Goggles enrollment project and promotion of Inauguration events of President Nair, respectively; and multiple CUPPIE awards in Emerging Media for the student-run and UR-managed blog, Because.Arcadia.edu.
Baldwin enjoys teaching and connecting with students as an adjunct professor from the freshman to the graduate-level. Courses taught and led include: Writing for the Web and New Media; First-Year Seminar" Me, My Selfie, and I: Self Branding in the Digital Age"; and a Preview course to Mumbai on Food and Culture in India.
As an active volunteer and local Cheltenham resident, Baldwin served a term as president of the Cheltenham School District Foundation. She dedicates her time to the arts and innovation in education. She earned a B.S. degree from Drexel University and a Master's of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a Global Perspective from Arcadia University.
