Beaver College's Department of Fine Arts is sponsoring a regional juried exhibition, "Works on Paper," at the Beaver College Art Gallery, Easton and Church Roads, March 14–April 9, 1986. Supported in part by a  grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the show features 54 pieces representing 40 area artists. It is one of the few shows in the Philadelphia area limited to works on paper.

"This year the exhibition is devoted to prints," said Gallery Director Zina Goldsmith. "In future years, if the need exists, drawing and mixed media on paper will alternate with photography and prints."

The exhibition opens on Friday, March 14, 1986 with a reception from 7:00–9:00 PM in the Gallery. A symposium will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at 4:00 PM, also in the Gallery. The events are free and open to the public.

Ellen Jacobowitz, curator of prints at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, juried the event, choosing from approximately 200 entries. "The prints chosen, in addition to their technical quality, reflect a sense of originality, freshness and excitement, an indication of the vitality in the Philadelphia art community," said Jacobowitz. "It was a difficult choice, and the fact that so many artists participated makes this an important show."

The artists in this year's exhibition include: Susan Altman, J. Michael Armentrout, Emily Brett, Daniel Brewer, Christina Craigo, Heidi Ernst, Ruth Fine, Anthony Gorny, Barbara Hagendorf, Judith Heep, Richard Hricko, Mithc Lyons, Enid Mark, Sarah Mceneaney, Barbara Miller, Nadine Miller, Shirley Moskowitz, Ed O’brien, Allegra Ockler, Florence Putterman, Virginia Rosa, Anthony Rosati, Anita B.
