November 12 – November 30, 1980
Richard E. Fuller Gallery
The Richard E. Fuller Gallery is pleased to present a multi-media small works exhibition from November 12 through November 30, 1980. The exhibition will be open on Wednesday, November 12 with a symposium at 4:00 PM, followed by a reception from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The public is invited.
Virginia Butera, assistant to the director of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, has selected the work of area artists to participate in this exhibition. The aim of this juried multi-media small works exhibition has been to provide the broadest opportunity for artists by including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, sculpture and crafts which demonstrate a diversity of techniques while concentration on alternatives and innovative approaches to conventional scale, spatial relationships and esthetic ideas.
Miss Butera received her M.A. in art history from Johns Hopkins University. She was a 1976-77 Smithsonian Museum Fellow at the National Collection of Fine Arts, and has curated exhibitions at the National Collection of Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Print Club of Philadelphia. She was a National Endowment for the Arts assistant in the department of prints, drawing, and photography at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The exhibition is supported in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
