In an editorial published in the April 12 Education Week, Dr. Kira Baker-Doyle, associate professor of Education and director of Master’s Degree and Certificate Programs, highlighted physical and virtual teacher-led networks that support teachers in the changing educational landscape. Dr. Baker-Doyle noted that teacher-led networks could not have risen at a more critical time.

Dr. Baker-Doyle wrote: “Not only are social issues such as homophobia, racial injustice, religious intolerance, and xenophobia prevalent in schools today, but the entire structure of public schooling as we know it may change with the new political administration. This makes networks even more vital.”
