Hybrid DPT Format
Arcadia University’s Hybrid DPT combines online coursework, live virtual classes, eight required on-campus immersions, and local clinical education experiences. Students can remain in their home communities while meeting the same rigorous academic and clinical standards as the Residential DPT option.

On-Campus Immersion Experience
Hybrid DPT students travel to Arcadia University’s campus in Glenside, PA eight (8) times for immersion experiences lasting one to two weeks.
These sessions focus on physical examination skills, treatment techniques, clinical decision-making, and professional communication. Students learn in lab-based environments with direct faculty instruction and peer collaboration.
Clinical Education Experiences
Arcadia University’s Hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) includes hands-on clinical education experiences starting in the first year. Students gain real-world physical therapy experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private practices, and specialized healthcare settings while working with diverse patient populations.
The option features two part-time Integrated Clinical Education Experiences in year one, followed by full-time placements in year two. The full-time placements include an eight-week Clinical Education Experience (CEE) and a 24-week Terminal Clinical Education Experience (TCEE), ensuring comprehensive clinical training and career readiness.
Mentorship
Hybrid DPT students are taught by the same experienced faculty who teach in Arcadia’s Residential DPT option. Faculty bring expertise in clinical practice, research, and education.

Admission Requirements
Arcadia’s Hybrid DPT follows the same rigorous admissions standards as the Residential option. Applications are reviewed holistically, and we welcome candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
