While in your junior year at Arcadia, you can apply for Early Entry to a Master’s program with the School of Education.
Apply to These MEd Programs:
- Literacy Studies, MEd (with certification paths for ESL and Reading Specialist K-12)
- Secondary Education, MEd (with certification paths in Biology, Chemistry, English, General Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies)
- Special Education, MEd
- STEM Education, MEd
- MEd with individualized concentration consisting of multiple certificates (Autism, Applied Behavior Analysis, Infant-Toddler Mental Health, ESL, STEM)
Undergraduate Degree Requirements
To have an undergraduate degree conferred at Arcadia, you must complete all undergraduate program requirements and have earned a minimum requirement of 128 credits (see your program’s respective undergraduate degree credit requirements for details). However, graduate courses completed as an undergraduate student which are not used to complete an undergraduate major may be transcribed to an Arcadia graduate degree provided no less than 125 credits remain on the undergraduate transcript.
Graduate Degree Requirements
Up to six graduate credits earned through the Early Entry Master's program while an undergraduate student and not applied to the undergraduate degree will be transferred to your graduate transcript once you begin a MEd program at Arcadia University.
Your Education adviser will help you with graduate course selection and develop a plan to earn graduate credits as part of the Early Entry Master's program while enrolled in your undergraduate degree program. In some situations, you will be assigned to an additional advisor to help plan your graduate program.
Tuition and Fees
Once enrolled in the Early Entry Master's program, you have the opportunity to earn up to six graduate credits as part of your undergraduate full-time tuition fee for no additional charge. Graduate credits earned as part of the undergraduate tuition must be completed during the undergraduate traditional academic year (Fall/Spring).
You may also enroll in summer semesters to earn graduate credits towards your MEd program. Tuition for summer graduate courses is billed at the prevailing part-time graduate credit rate as determined by each graduate program.
Admission Requirements and Application Information
- Current matriculated Education major or minor
- GPA of 3.0
- Junior standing minimum (enrolled for and/or has completed 80+ credits)
As an undergraduate students enrolled in the fall of their junior year, you can apply to an Early Entry Master's program with Arcadia University’s School of Education. Complete and submit the application form through the Office of Enrollment Management. Application fees are waived for students applying to the Early Entry Master's program. The application must be received by the deadline to be considered.
