Earn an MEd and/or PA Teacher Certification for Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility
Candidates for certification must have completed 6 years of full-time teaching or other professionally certificated service in schools, including 3 years in a supervisory or administrative position while holding a valid teaching and administrative certificate.
This course examines the school business office roles and functions and how they impact the fiscal management, instructional and non-instructional programs and services of schools and school districts.
Human Resources and Negotiations
Examine the impact that labor relations and negotiations have on the leadership responsibilities of the principal and superintendent.
Explore the role characterization of the superintendent and the leadership you provide in each role. This course includes an analysis of the organizational dimensions of a school district and how you must effectively communicate with all stakeholders and members of the school community.
Resolving Ethical Challenges in Educational Institutions
Students will explore how to combine and/or adapt ideas stemming from foundational ethical theories as they face dilemmas and difficult decisions. Students will analyze case studies through a multiple paradigm approach.
