
Earn an MEd and/or PA Teacher Certification in Supervisory of Pupil Personnel Services
A Supervisor of Pupil Personnel Services is a K-12 district-wide specialist. This certification will challenge you to take on responsibilities for:
- Coordinate or supervise all of the pupil personnel service areas.
- Design and develop supporting materials and innovative and experimental processes and programs.
- Direct or conduct basic or applied research within the pupil personnel service areas.
- Articulate the pupil personnel services within the instructional services.

Supervision of Teaching and Learning
Required Course
This course examines the components of educational leadership that relate to the supervisory process. Both theory and practice are emphasized. The clinical supervision process is highlighted along with a variety of different “walk-through” models of supervision.
Psychological Testing
Required Course
This study of major concepts in psychological testing and measurement surveys major tests used in each of the traditional areas of psychological assessment: intelligence, aptitude, achievement, interests, personality and behavioral assessment.
Cultural Bases of Counseling
Required Course
Learn about general principles of cultural sensitivity, ethical issues related to counseling those who are different from themselves, how cultural heritage and social experience contribute to development, and how the culture and experience of the counselor may impact on the counseling relationship.
