The Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration at Arcadia University offers a challenging business-based curriculum highlighting key concepts in healthcare administration, business, planning and policy, and legal management.
Studying Healthcare Administration, you will:
- Integrate general business and management skills with a working knowledge of the healthcare system.
- Have the opportunity to minor in another discipline and spend a semester or more abroad, including an overseas internship experience.
- Learn from professors with extensive professional experience in the field of healthcare management and current healthcare professionals.
- Experience internships in hospitals, nursing facilities, insurance, rehabilitation centers and private practices as well as social service organizations to supplement academics with on-the-job experience.

Concentrations
Concentrations allow you to specialize in an area of business. Augment your program and further prepare for your career by selecting one of the following.
Economics
Apply microeconomics and macroeconomics to problems of business decision making and learn the effect of governmental policies on the business environment. This concentration will also provide you with a foundation for graduate programs in law, business, public administration, or economics.
Management
Learn the fundamental knowledge for supervisory roles in a variety of industries, or for entry into corporate management training programs. You will explore human resources, information systems, and be able to choose a further path in social media, agribusiness, or sport management.
Finance

This foundation course provides an overview of the current health delivery system: Issues of cost, quality and access are discussed among a variety of healthcare settings, including: hospitals, outpatient clinics, and a number of long-term care organizations. You are also introduced to the breadth and depth of career opportunities in health care.
Healthcare Planning and Policy
Required Course
This course covers the theoretical and historical foundations of healthcare planning and policy development. Current healthcare policy issues are discussed and examined both nationally and internationally.
Internship in Health Administration
Required Course
You will complete 100+ hours of internship work in a professional healthcare setting. The internship course is designed to have you apply academic concepts in a work environment and complete one or more significant projects for the organization.
Seminar in Health Administration
Required Course
