Arcadia University’s Student Government Organization has new officers. At a ceremony on April 29 in the Grey Towers Castle Mirror Room, Carter Mostecki ’28 was sworn in as SGO president for the 2025-26 academic year, Nelly Tyncherova ’26 as vice president, and Jacob Mann ’26 as treasurer.

Outgoing president Karolina Iordache ’25 gave a farewell address, and Mostecki gave a State of the Union address.

“I want to improve in areas like communication by being transparent and honest with the student body, as well as increasing students’ feelings of belongingness to this great university by giving them a voice in change, making them feel heard and understood,” Mostecki said. “Together, I know we can build this organization and this great community to be something everyone can be proud of. I invite everyone to be a part of this journey. Let’s make this the year of bold strokes and shared success.”

Carter Mostecki ’28

I am a Sport Management major and a member of Arcadia’s men’s lacrosse team. I am a hard worker dedicated to the well-being and improvement of this great University and its students. I will be representing the voice of the student body and creating a positive, inclusive campus environment. I work closely with school administrators, faculty, and fellow students to advocate for meaningful changes, organize events, and ensure that student concerns are heard and addressed. My goal is to lead with integrity, foster community spirit, and make a lasting impact on our school.

Nelly Tyncherova ’26

I am an International Studies and Peace & Conflict Resolution major with a minor in Spanish. On campus, I serve as a Resident Assistant and a member of the Model UN Club. I work as a research assistant for two professors, tutor Spanish, and lead initiatives to support international students, including organizing Arcadia’s first Culture Fair.

Jacob Mann ’26

I am a Business Administration major with a finance concentration. I am a member of Honors Council as both a mentor and a member of the advisory board. I am also a member of the men’s lacrosse team, where I volunteer with Team Impact. I served as the Coordinator of Finance for the Student Engagement Board (SEB). As SGO Treasurer, I will ensure that the money allotted to the Student Government is used in the most productive way. I want to create an environment where students are confident knowing that the Student Government cares about them and wants to make sure their time at Arcadia is enjoyable. I would also like to encourage students to explore opportunities they are passionate about, to start new clubs, and to approach the Student Government if they have any ideas on how our money can be better spent. I will work diligently to ensure the future of Arcadia’s Student Government is a positive one.
