
Biography
Jodi Freeman PA-C, MS-HPEd, CHSE, DFAAPA is an Academic Coordinator in the Physician Assistant Program for the Department of Medical Science. She holds a Master of Medical Science degree from Arcadia University, a Master of Health Professions Education from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, and a bachelor's degree from Penn State University. She is currently a PhD candidate in Health Professions Education, with a concentration in simulation-based education, and expects to graduate in 2026.
Clinically, Jodi has over 15 years of healthcare experience, primarily as a medical provider in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. While there, she co-created and co-directed the NICU PA Residency Program. She has also held academic roles at Arcadia University and Thomas Jefferson University’s PA Program in Center City.
Jodi is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and serves as Chair of the Advanced Practice Providers Special Interest Group for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Her research interests include simulation-based education, interprofessional education, and emotional intelligence.
Outside of work, Jodi enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family, especially cheering on her three children in their many activities.
