Sue Anne Hong ’27

Hometown: Jiangsu, China

Major: Mathematics

What extracurriculars do you plan on joining?

Gender Equality Club, Dancing Club, Theatre Club, Voice Acting Club, Psychology Association, and Red Cross Society are all good options!

What are some of your hobbies?

Photography, movies, dancing (jazz and K-pop), traveling, and voice acting.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date?

Having volunteered a lot in social work makes me feel good. I passed the first aid assessment in China, especially CPR and AED, and solutions for fractures and injuries as well. I also spent lots of time joining and organizing psychology activities at my university in China, and led an OH cards group counseling with college students. It is really nice to meet new people and listen to their stories! Gaining knowledge of both physical health and mental health gives me the chance to help myself and others. We felt lots of warmth and love while doing this! I highly appreciate these experiences!

Why did you choose Arcadia?

Arcadia University is very flexible in choosing courses, minors, and majors. It perfectly fits my willingness to explore different areas. Meanwhile, Arcadia is in America, and I love to spend my study time in this country! It is also a school that cooperates with my university in China. This provides lots of convenience!

What are you most looking forward to?

I am looking forward to taking courses in a different style from China and exploring more activities with students around the world. I also want to travel to different places and countries near here!

Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

I love exploring new things (including hairstyles and clothes!) and meeting kind people. Hope we all have a great time in this wonderland— Arcadia University!
