Arcadia University Celebrates Black History Month 2026

By Ryan Hiemenz | February 5, 2026

Various organizations at Arcadia will host events throughout the month in celebration of Black History Month. These events are open to all Arcadia students.

This list will be updated with more events as they are announced. Please check back for any updates.

The African-American Read-In, originally scheduled for Feb. 4, will be rescheduled due to illness.
The Read-In, a tradition here at Arcadia, co-sponsored by CASAA, the Pan African Studies Program, and the Department of English, is a celebration of Black literary traditions and a public act of literary justice, creating much-needed space for collective reading, listening, and reflecting. Each year, we select a different theme to guide the readings our community members select. This year’s theme is ASE: Advancing Social Empowerment through Literature.
