Why These Students Chose Arcadia University
Do you remember the first time you visited Arcadia’s campus and realized it was the place for you? Or maybe you’re looking forward to your first campus tour and wondering if you might fall in love? Either way, let’s meet these four students as they remember the moment they first realized they wanted to be a Knight!

Knight #1 – Ava Bossert ’29, Psychology major
Introduce yourself to the readers!
What’s up? My name’s Ava, and I am a Psychology major, training to be a future Art Therapist. I love hanging out with my friends and listening to music. My favorite artist right now is Malcom Todd, and I have two dogs back at home.
What was your first visit to Arcadia like? What do you remember?
My first visit to Arcadia was love at first sight, honestly. I remember gawking at the castle and just seeing the tight-knit community around. When it comes to welcome week, drag bingo is the first thing that comes to mind. It was such a fun experience.
What is your favorite part of your department at Arcadia?
When it comes to being a Psych major, I enjoy how hands-on everyone is in my department. They love to help, keep things simple, and get involved when you do ask for assistance. They’re some of the most down-to-earth people I have ever met.

Knight #2 – Travis Noecker ’27, Biology major
Introduce yourself to the readers!
Hi! My name is Travis. I’m a Biology major working on a Criminal Justice minor. I’d love to work in conservation after I graduate, and I love listening to music and hiking. At home, I have a dog and a cat, and a fun fact, today I was just inducted into the National Biology Honors Society!
What was your first visit to Arcadia like? What do you remember?
I remember coming to Arcadia for a tour and being blown away by the scenery of the campus itself. The nature areas on campus and the brick walkways make the small campus feel cozy. Not to mention how breathtaking the castle is!
What is your favorite part of your department at Arcadia?
I love Arcadia’s Biology department because I feel like they run such a variety of classes, so that no matter what your interest is, you’re able to find your niche.

Knight #3 – Alex Coching ’27, Art Education major
Introduce yourself to the readers!
Hi! My name is Alex, and I’m a junior majoring in Art Education, planning to be a teacher or child life specialist. I love anything creative, like painting and drawing, journaling, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends. A fun fact about me is that I met some of the Philadelphia Eagles players in 2019!
What was your first visit to Arcadia like? What do you remember?
I first got to see the campus and the art buildings with my aunt during winter break in high school. I remember it was a cold day, and I had signed up for an art tour. It was beautiful to visit in the winter.
What is your favorite part of your department at Arcadia?
Now that I’ve gotten to know it, I love the Art department here because they are very supportive and are striving to make sure you succeed after college. Teachers and classmates both care about your physical, emotional, and mental health.
