More than 40 volunteers and 70 children, who attended with their parents, enjoyed a fun-filled day of games and activities at the 10th annual Dr. Seuss Day Birthday Carnival on Feb. 28.

The carnival was sponsored by Arcadia’s Office of Community Service. “The carnival was a great success thanks to the many volunteers,” says Cindy Rubino, Community Service Coordinator. Donations from T-shirt sales were put toward the Jami Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship fund.

This award is given to a full-time undergraduate of junior or senior standing who has demonstrated service and leadership on campus or in external communities, particularly through volunteer work.

“We look forward to seeing everyone next year for the 11th annual Dr. Seuss Day in February 2011,” adds Rubino. (Photos.)
