Arcadia University Physical Therapy students David Blum ‘17 and Seth Foreman ’17 were featured in an article for the Chestnut Hill Local after saving a Mt. Airy pet parrot that had wandered into the road.

After completing their human anatomy exam at Drexel Medical School’s Queen Lane campus in East Falls and having a cheesesteak at Dalessandro’s Steaks in Roxborough, the roommates were driving to their Glenside apartment when they stumbled upon the parrot in the middle of the road. Chestnut Hill Local reporter Barbara Sherf was headed in the opposite direction on Emlen Street when both cars stopped to assist the bird off the road.

After going door-to-door in the surrounding neighborhood, the three found the owner of the parrot and returned him unharmed.

“I love all types of animals. I’m glad we were all able to come together to get it back in its house safe and sound,” said Blum in an interview with Sherf after the parrot was returned.
