The Office of Career Education (OCE) is gearing up for its largest event of the year: the Spring 2017 Internship and Career Fair. On Wednesday, March 29, more than 100 representatives from various organizations, industries, and graduate school programs—catering to Arcadia’s diverse student population and interests—will recruit in the Kuch Gymnasium from 1 to 4 p.m.

Last year, more than 350 students attended the Spring Internship and Career Fair. Students found that it improved their networking skills, encouraged them to be proactive job seekers, and led to strong career connections and interviews.

Organizations returning to the fair include Vanguard, Peace Corps, and Davita, with new additions such as the Philadelphia Eagles and Independence Blue Cross. Students are encouraged to wear professional attire and bring copies of their resume.

At the event, students can receive free LinkedIn photos from a professional photographer at the Ditech-sponsored LinkedIn photo booth. Additionally, students are invited to snap and tweet photos of themselves at the Dress for Success Selfie Station using #AUFair17 to be entered into a raffle for Echo Dot prizes.

In preparation for the fair, OCE offers drop-in resume reviews during Express Advising Hours, providing students the chance to have their resumes reviewed by a qualified staff member before handing it to potential employers. Students can also gain early access to employer information by pre-registering in KnightLink or downloading the Career Fair Essentials App and searching “Arcadia Spring Fair.”

Following the fair, several organizations will return to conduct on-campus interviews (OCI) throughout the month of April. Students can learn more about the positions offered and OCI Day sign-up in KnightLink.
