Arcadia Theater Presents “Sensitive Guys” Feb. 8 to 18

By Caitlin Burns | February 6, 2018

Arcadia University Theater presents Sensitive Guys by MJ Kaufman, a timely show that discusses the issue of sexual assault on college campuses.

The play follows the Men’s Peer Education and women’s Survivor Support groups at fictional Watson College. The two groups are working together to end sexual assault on campus when accusatory posters suddenly begin to appear on campus, suggesting that a member of the Peer Education group committed sexual assault. The narrative tackles the question of whether sensitive guys – even ones who are aware of this issue on campus – can still commit sexual assault?

The Arcadia cast of Sensitive Guys is comprised entirely of women who aim to understand the complexity of masculinity and violence in our society.

Sensitive Guys will run from Feb. 8 to 18, with shows running Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m., with matinees Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Performances will be in the Spruance Fine Arts Center.
