Dr. Vollrath Publishes on Student Writing Habits

Dr. Daniel Vollrath ’15EdD, a graduate of the Special Education Leadership Education Doctoral program, published “Building Habits of Mind Through Writing,” an article through the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA). Co-written with teacher Scott Einhorn, the article is a result of Dr. Vollrath’s doctoral dissertation.

The article follows the “16 Habits of Mind,” a set of 16 dispositions to help people confront challenges, in order to develop writing specific details that can help students advance their skills. The “16 Habits of Mind for Writing” include persistence, flexibility, and accuracy.
