Clare Quigley Brown, adjunct professor of English, received the COCE Award for Outstanding Instruction from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).

SNHU noted that Brown’s personalized instruction and classroom innovation has allowed her students to thrive. She broadens her online classes through use of video, audio, text technologies, and creative visuals, enabling students to connect with her and each other for a more meaningful learning experience.

The COCE Award for Outstanding Instruction was established in recognition of the exceptional efforts of adjunct faculty as they work to create the best learning environment and experience for students. Out of approximately 5,000 faculty teaching at SNHU each year, only 21 faculty members are nominated by their Associate Deans of Faculty. The winners are selected by committee and receive a monetary prize, a trip to visit the COCE Millyard and the Southern New Hampshire University campus in Manchester, N.H., and an engraved award.
