Some of the most popular attractions include Reading Terminal Market, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Zoo, and shops and restaurants along South Street. Philadelphia is a city full of history, found in sites such as The Liberty Bell Center and the National Constitution Center.

Jenkintown, adjacent to campus, is home to restaurants, bars, shops, and an independent movie theater. Every September, the Jenkintown Festival of the Arts, a juried art show, takes over the town and showcases the best of the area’s artistic talent.
Chestnut Hill is a charming neighborhood less than 5 miles from campus that offers great places to eat and shop in addition to activities for nature lovers, like hiking trails along the Wissahickon and strolling through gardens at Morris Arboretum.
Ambler is a small town located five miles north of Glenside. It has a bustling main street featuring shops, multi-ethnic restaurants and entertainment.
Mount Airy is a vibrant, diverse Philadelphia neighborhood only four miles from campus. With a burgeoning art and culture scene, Mt. Airy has frequently been named one of the best neighborhoods in Philadelphia.
Manayunk, just eight miles from campus, is a trendy neighborhood popular among local college students for its exciting nightlife.
Arcadia's campus is situated in the heart of Glenside, PA, with easy access to local and regional public transport. Once you are on campus, there are a number of options to get around, whether walking or by bike, car, bus, train or Zip car. A 15-minute (one mile) walk to the Glenside Train Station gives you access to the world.
SEPTA's Regional Rail system is a convenient and easy way to travel from campus. The closest station to campus is the Glenside Station. The Lansdale/Doylestown, Warminster and Airport rail lines stop at the Glenside Station. Connections can be made to Amtrak, Bolt Bus and Megabus, and Philadelphia International Airport.
SEPTA bus routes #22 and #77 stop on Easton Road directly in front of campus.
Taxi service in Glenside should be arranged in advance or use the Uber app to request a car from your smartphone.
Arcadia has partnered with Zipcar to bring self-service, on-demand car sharing to the area. To use Zipcars, simply register as a member, reserve a car online or by phone, use your Zipcard to enter the car, and drive away.
Bike racks are outside most buildings at Arcadia. If you bring your bike to campus, make sure you lock it to one of the bolted campus locations.
