Arcadia Alumni

Alumni Family Weekend

Important Announcement Regarding Alumni Family Weekend

Due to the ongoing health crisis surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Arcadia has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone our annual Alumni Family Weekend scheduled for May 1 & 2, 2020.

On March 30, Governor Wolf extended the stay-at-home order already in place, closing all Pennsylvania schools and businesses. Given the current outlook and unpredictability at this time, we cannot adequately plan for the Alumni Family Weekend celebration you deserve, and more importantly, we cannot jeopardize your health and well-being and that of our community.

Please know that the University is exploring every alternative opportunity to honor our reunion classes once this threat is behind us.

See below for answers to frequently asked questions. We will update this page with more information as it becomes available. Please contact with any additional questions or concerns. To stay up-to-date on Arcadia’s COVID-19 response, please visit

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Alumni Family Weekend be rescheduled?
As soon as COVID-19 is no longer a threat to our community, we will be able to better plan for an alternative opportunity to honor our reunion classes and celebrate as a University community. Please know that we intend to celebrate our reunion classes and are exploring a variety of ways to do so. We will be in communication with you as soon as decisions are made.

What about my Reunion Class Gift? Can I still contribute?
Contributions to reunion class gifts are most welcome and still being accepted. All gifts received by May 31, 2020, will count toward your class’ reunion giving totals and toward consideration for reunion giving awards. Most importantly, your gift will strengthen Arcadia’s mission and support the needs of today’s students. If you have yet to make your reunion class gift, you can make your gift online at or use the return envelope provided in the appeal sent to you this spring. Thank you for your support.

How can I help the University and students impacted by COVID-19?
As we use our available student emergency funding to support the immediate and acute needs of our most vulnerable students, gifts to either the Student Emergency Fund or The Fund for Arcadia will help to replenish this funding and ensure our community’s readiness to address the urgent needs of our students in the future. What about the annual Alumni Awards Ceremony held during Alumni Family Weekend?
The cancellation of the Alumni Family Weekend will not stop us from recognizing the recipients of the 2020 Alumni Awards. We are currently planning a variety of ways to highlight our honorees, including the possibility of rescheduling the event once it is safe and feasible.

Is the 40 Under 40 Ceremony also canceled?
The 40 Under 40 Ceremony scheduled for April 30 is canceled. Please be assured that the University is committed to hosting an event to recognize and celebrate the honorees once the circumstances allow. We will be in communications with all 40 Under 40 honorees as more information becomes available.

What if I already made hotel and travel reservations?
If you made hotel and travel reservations, we highly encourage you to reach out to your respective hotel, airline, or vendor to cancel your reservation as soon as possible. Arcadia University is not responsible for any outstanding reservations or cancellation fees.
