Going into my freshman year at Arcadia, I knew that I wanted to travel and study abroad. After going on Preview, the trip heightened my excitement to study abroad, and I decided to spend a semester in Australia. I learned more about myself, shaped my perspective of the world and, what may be the best part, I met someone who I knew would be my partner for life. The experience was life-changing.
Late-night Chat burgers followed by stargazing on “Beaver Beach” with my roommates and teammates.
In five years, I want to continue to be challenged and happy to come to work. I don’t focus on the titles or the salary. Instead, I focus on the skills I need to learn in order to put me in the best position possible for when that next opportunity comes knocking. If you focus on material or ego, your happiness will be sacrificed. It may make you happy in the short term, but if you focus on your skills, the gains will always far outweigh and take you further.
I focus on the skills I need to learn in order to put me in the best position possible for when that next opportunity comes knocking.
