How Arcadia Influenced My Path

Because of my Arcadia study abroad experiences, I have never been afraid to pick up and move to another location. Moving to a new state for graduate school was almost instinctual for me. Additionally, my professors helped me to discover who I am artistically and offered me my current job as an adjunct professor here at Arcadia.

Greatest Achievement

My greatest achievement has been being able to do what I love—teaching and making art for a living. I’m not exactly where I want to be professionally, but I am making steps toward it and working in my field.

Mentor Who Made a Difference

The faculty within the Art Department have influenced me. Betsey Batchelor and Abbey Ryan ’03, associate professors of Visual and Performing Arts, both took the time out of their schedules to help me apply to graduate school. Those who worked with me at the foundational level, such as Art Department Chair and Associate Professor Carole Loeffler and Exhibition Coordinator Matthew Borgen, were helpful during my time at Arcadia and still are today.

My professors helped me to discover who I am artistically and offered me my current job as an adjunct professor here at Arcadia.
