When current events demand it, we take the time to examine the world around us and the history that shapes it. In recent years our faculty and students have organized or participated in forums examining:

Social Justice Week

During our annual Social Justice Week, we examine a particular issue in depth. Classes across the department and students from across the university come together to discuss the year’s theme from a variety of perspectives. In Spring 2017 the topic will be The School-to-Prison Pipeline. Past topics include “Wrongful Convictions and Exonerations,” and “Hate Crimes and Violence Against Women.”
