Professional Experience
Johanna Detwiler has been a Physician Assistant (P.A.) since 2017 when she graduated
from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to training to become a P.A. she was
in the Air National Guard from 2003-2018 including a deployment to Iraq in 2009. She served as
a Public Health technician, who’s mission was preventing disease, disability and death. She has
worked in both urgent care and primary care settings. Johanna served as a primary care
provider for the military veterans at the Coatesville VA Medical Center from 2018-2025.
Johanna is also a certified yoga instructor with a passion for alternative and
complementary medicine along with disease prevention on an individual and global scale. She is
excited to be the new clinical coordinator joining Arcadia University as an Assistant Professor
and serving the Physician Assistant students in accomplishing their goals. Johanna lives in
Chester County with her husband and two daughters and enjoys watching Football, doing yoga
and reading.
