Cynthia L. Rutherford, L.S.W., is a licensed social worker who holds a Masters Degree in Social Service and a Masters Degree in Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.  She received her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Delaware. In addition to her work here at Arcadia, she has a small private practice in Philadelphia. Prior to becoming a college counselor, she worked in several psychiatric hospitals with adolescents. Cynthia has been working in college counseling for over 26 years. Particular areas of interest include mindfulness, young adulthood development, sexual orientation and gender identity, and trauma. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and cats and is an avid house plant zealot.
