Dr. Lauren E. Reid, Director of Counseling, is a licensed psychologist. Dr. Reid earned her B.A. in psychology from Loyola University in Maryland, Ed.M. and M.A. in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from University of Miami. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania's Counseling and Psychological Services. Prior to coming to Arcadia, she worked for two years as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Counseling Psychology at Temple University, where she was also the program coordinator for the M.Ed. program. Her clinical and research expertise focuses upon working with biracial/multiracial people, intersecting identities, and cultural factors in mental health and counseling.
Dr. Reid teaches the following courses in the Graduate Program in Counseling: Cultural Bases of Counseling, Advanced Counseling Techniques, and Internship Seminar.
