My primary area of research is in the field of Addiction Psychology and Biology. I focus on the sociological, psychological, and biological underpinnings of drug use, abuse and dependence in both human and animal models. Currently I am pursuing projects exploring factors related to drug abuse in nationally representative data sets, gender differences in perceptions of drug use and abuse, as well as better understanding the impact of different drugs' on the developing brain and how we might be able to rescue deficits produced by exposure to these drugs using novel behavioral and pharmacotherapeutic interventions. If you are interested in learning more about these topics and are potentially working with me in my lab please stop by and say hello!
