- A Philadelphia-based theatre artist and educator, Sarah Sanford teaches Foundations of Stage Movement for Arcadia, and is a core faculty in the Rowan University/Pig Iron Devised Performance MFA & Certificate Program. A grad of École Jacques Lecoq, Sarah co-created and performed numerous works with Pig Iron Theatre Company from 2001-2014, and has performed on many local and international stages. Her solo show Love you Love you Love you about dementia and mothering premiered at the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Directing credits include The Choice by InFlux Theatre and the Philly premiere of Underground Railroad Game by Lightning Rod Special. She was recently seen in Dreaming The Upside Down Tree, a devised interactive performance mixing sounds and stories from audience members, and a staged reading of Essie, a new play about Paul Robeson’s wife, Eslanda.
