Around Glenside and Philadelphia
Arcadia’s campus is situated in the heart of Glenside, PA, with easy access to local and regional public transport. Once you are on campus, there are a number of options to get around, whether walking or by bike, car, bus, train or Uber/Lyft. A 15-minute walk to the Glenside Train Station gives you access to the world outside of Arcadia University.
Bikes
If you bring your bike to campus, there are racks outside most buildings across Arcadia’s campus.
By Train
SEPTA’s Regional Rail system is a convenient and easy way to travel from campus. The closest station to campus is the Glenside Station. Campus is a short 15-minute walk from Glenside Station. After getting off of the train, walk down the stairs to Easton Road and turn right, towards Glenside Avenue. Continue along Easton Road for one mile and you will arrive on campus.
The Lansdale/Doylestown, Warminster and Airport rail lines stop at the Glenside Station. Trains to Glenside are available from many stations in the area, including the Philadelphia Airport, Suburban, Market East and 30th Street Stations in Center City Philadelphia. Regional Train Service
Amtrak provides regional/national train service through 30th Street Station in Center City Philadelphia.
From 30th Street Station, you can take SEPTA’s Regional Rail, rent a car, or hire a taxi. Taxi stands are available right outside the station. A ride from 30th Street Station to Arcadia’s campus will cost minimally $25 and take approximately 35 minutes.
Taxi in Glenside
Taxi service from the Glenside station is not available regularly and should be arranged in advance. Use the Uber or Lyft app to access local car services and request a car right from your smartphone.
By Bus
Local Service
SEPTA bus routes #22 and #77 stop on Easton Road directly in front of campus.
Regional Service
Megabus and Bolt Bus provide service to Philadelphia. Both have stops outside of 30th Street Station in Center City Philadelphia. Please see train directions (above) for information on getting to campus from 30th Street Station.
Alternately, from Glenside Station you can take the Route 22 or Route 77 buses, which arrive about every 20 minutes (cost $2.25). The nearest bus stop is adjacent to the station at the corner of Easton Road and Glenside Avenue. In about seven minutes, you will arrive at the campus entrance on Easton road.
