The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is responsible for providing services to all international students and scholars with nonimmigrant status (F-1 student visa and J-1 exchange visitor visas). OIA is committed to making international students and scholars feel at home while they pursue their academic goals at Arcadia. English Language Support Services
English Language Support Services are located within the English Language Institute at 6 Royal Ave. Assistance is available during office hours or by appointment. Instructors and advisers are encouraged to refer students for whom English fluency is an obstacle to clear written or oral communication. Faculty workshops and consultations are also available.
The Writing Center provides help from ESL Specialists, graduate student peer consultants who have received instruction in working with non-native speakers.
For this week’s Travel Tuesday, we’re traveling to one of the world’s happiest countries. This Scandinavian nation is home to some impressive cities like Malmo, Uppsala, and Lund (maybe you recognize the names from your furniture!) One popular export from this country has been dubbed “Nordic Noir Literature.” A popular example includes Stieg Larsson’s “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.”
Does anyone know where we are?
