Fun Home is a musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic memoir, exploring her journey of self-discovery, her complex relationship with her closeted gay father, and discovery of her own sexuality. Told through non-linear vignettes, the story follows Alison at different stages of her life as she unravels family secrets and comes to terms with her own identity.

Arcadia students get surprise Zoom visit from Broadway star Jonathan Groff

At a recent rehearsal for Arcadia Theater’s production of Spring Awakening: the Musical, Arcadia students got a surprise visit on Zoom from Broadway star Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, Merrily We Roll Along). Groff starred in the original Broadway cast of Spring Awakening along with the director of our production, Robi Hager. Our cast sang the musical’s closing number, “Purple Summer” for him.
