If you are a student working on a computer in a campus lab, save your work on a USB flash drive or in cloud-based storage such as Google Drive.
If you are faculty or staff, save files to cloud-based storage such as Google Drive. Files saved to your PC's hard drive do not get backed up by IT. If you do save files there, make sure to copy your files to your Google Drive folder on a regular basis. You can also make sure you are using Google Drive for Desktop (this is a program that will enable you to be access your Google Drive folders on your computer and sync them to the cloud.
