The minor in Public Health gives you the opportunity to learn about public health principles from a global perspective. Explore epidemiology, ethics, anthropology, sociology, politics and other topics related to public health.

Required Course
Explore major health challenges around the world. This course covers global disease trends, access to clean water, HIV prevention, chronic illness, nutrition, and human rights. You’ll learn how health is shaped by culture, policy, and development through real-world, cross-cultural examples.
Required Course
Examine how health policies shape communities. You’ll explore U.S. and global healthcare systems, the history of reform, and how governments influence public health through policy. Topics include smoking bans, access to care, and the idea of “Health in All Policies.”
Elective Course
Learn how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions impact physical health. This course introduces the science of health psychology through research and real-life applications, covering topics like stress, illness prevention, and healthy behavior change.
